Elvira C. Starke, 92, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Gasconade, Mo., passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Life Care Center of Orlando. Mrs. Starke was born in Treloar, Mo., on July 21, 1920, the daughter of the late John B. and Wilhemina (Engemann) Winkelmann. She was the widow of Richard F. Starke. They were married April 25, 1946, at St. George Church, Hermann. Elvira was a member of Assumption Church, Morrison, Mo., and of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a homemaker. She also worked at the I.G.A. store for 13 years, for the shoe factory for six years and for Handi-Pac for five years. Elvira is survived by two sons, Dennis Starke and wife Diane of McAllen, Texas; a son, Richard Starke and wife Pagamas of Manteca, Calif.; and two daughters, Marilyn Merrill and husband Kevin of Winter Springs, Fla., and Sharon Lightfoot and husband Allen of Gilbert, Ariz. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Angeline Eberlin and Legouri Biskup; and two brothers, Cletus and Isidore Winkelmann. Visitation was held Monday, May 20, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Morrison, Mo. Funeral services will be held at Assumption Church, Morrison, Mo., at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, with Father David Means officiating. Burial will be at St. George Cemetery, Hermann, Mo.
