Martha Ann Arment, 84, of Moberly, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Moberly Nursing and Rehab. She had been in failing health. Martha was born October 30, 1928, in Lenora, Okla., to Millard and Ruth (McKeddy) Williams. She married H.L. "Hap" Arment on March 27, 1951, in Carson City, Nev., and he preceded her in death. Martha was a homemaker. She loved to read, work in her yard with her flowers, quilting, crocheting, any type of sewing. She loved being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She moved to Moberly in 1987. While living in the state of Wash., her and her husband were foster parents, touching the lives of many children. To Martha, all children were precious. Survivors include her daughters, Anita Browning and her husband David of Moberly, Donna Stokes and her husband Roger of Jefferson City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Todd Browning of Columbia, Mo., Marc Browning of Moberly, Matthew Stokes and his wife Stephanie of Ballwin, Mo., Stephanie Stokes of London, England; two great-grandchildren Harper Stokes and Daphne Stokes; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Collen David, Juanita Hires, Eva Jo Hyatt and Oleta Bracken; and a brother Eric Williams. Services honoring and celebrating Martha's life will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at the CATER Funeral Home Chapel with committal prayers and interment following in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Unit at Moberly Nursing and Rehab would be appreciated.
