Mildred Dampf

Mildred "Millie" Dampf, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Jefferson City, Mo., to Frank and Alice Eggen. She graduated from St. Peter's High School in Jefferson City and the DePaul School of Nursing in St. Louis with an RN degree. She practiced nursing until 1964 when she married Donald P. Dampf. They lived in Lafayette, La., and Houston, then spent four years in Holland before returning to Houston in 1972. Survivors include her husband, Donald P. Dampf; daughter, Kristin Dampf; son, Eric (Tracey) Dampf and children, Andrew, Matthew and Hannah; brother, Ralph Eggen; and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou and Marjorie Dampf. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Mary Eggen; brothers, Harold and William Eggen; and sisters, Margaret Uriwal and Marie Kahl. A Mass of Christian Burial and visitation were celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church, Houston, Texas. Entombment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3502 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77009.
