Geraldine Holt

Geraldine Holt, 79, known by friends and family as "Aunt Deanie", of New Bloomfield, was called home on Saturday, May 11, 2013. She was born October 7, 1933, in Callaway County, the daughter of the late Robert and Dollie (Baynham) Vaughn. She was united in marriage to Ancel William Holt on June 25, 1959 in Fulton. Ancel preceded her in death on October 18, 2009. Geraldine was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church. She was an active and committed member, serving as Sunday School Secretary, member of Mother's Board, and Treasurer of Mission. She will forever live in the memory of her son, Fred Cave and his wife Diane of Holts Summit; sister, Stella Specks of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Wesley Vaughn and his wife Florence of Jefferson City, Clarence Vaughn and his wife Josephine of Jefferson City, and Les Vaughn of New Bloomfield; granddaughter, Paulette LaViolette of Columbia; great-grandchild, Jaiden T. Stewart of Columbia; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Myrtle Cave. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Oak Chapel Church in New Bloomfield with Reverend Marion Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
