Mrs. Peggy L. Case, age 84 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. Peggy was born June 20, 1928 in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Carl and Ada Reinhart Moreland. She was married on May 21, 1949, in Pocahontas, Ark., to Clarence E. "Nick" Case, who preceded her in death on June 26, 1999. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Peggy was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Peggy was employed as a secretary with the Missouri Department of Revenue for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. She was also active with a Women's Bible Study at First Assembly and was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Peggy enjoyed reading, traveling, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include: two daughters, Sandy Winder and her husband Denny of Holts Summit, Mo. and DeDe Eggen and her husband Dennis of Jefferson City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Derric Winder and his wife Vickie, Devvin Winder and his wife Andrea, Denissa Winder, Jennifer Case, Justin Case and his wife Kayla, Jake Eggen, Nick Eggen, and Zack Eggen; 12 great-grandchildren, Drake and Evan Winder, Paris and Paige Winder, Dylan Scheppers, Trevin White and Collin, Landin and Brielle Case, Brittany, Landrie, and Ali Werdehausen; and one sister-in-law, Jeri Moreland. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rick Case; two brothers, Raymond "Duke" Moreland and James Moreland; three sisters, Nancy Munk, Mary Baker, and Dorothy Hammond; and a brother-in-law, Tom Munk. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. with the Reverend Dusty Klein officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Boone County, Mo.
