William "Bill" Clarence Loyd, 92, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at his home. Bill was born on January 27, 1921, in Callaway County, the son of William C. and Ruby Langston Loyd. He married Norma Forsee on April 29, 1949, in Columbia, and she survives. Bill served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked as an electrician for Crawford Electric and was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW in Columbia, Mo. IBEW #257 of Jefferson City, Mo. He was also a member of the Ashland Monsonic Lodge. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Minear and husband Bobby of Edina, Mo., and Charlene Loyd of Jefferson City, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Will and Sam Minear. Preceding him in death are his parents; one son, David Loyd; two brothers, Milton Loyd and Gene Loyd. Services will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Ashland Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorial contributions are suggested to Preferred Hospice of Daniel Boone Library Southern Boone Branch. Arrangements are under the direction of Robinson Funeral Home.
