Schuyler S. Stegmann

Schuyler S. Stegmann, 40, of Stover, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born January 21, 1973, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Bill and Christie Rinehart Stegmann. On April 17, 2010, he was united in marriage at Argyle, Missouri, to his best friend and love, Kathy Stogsdill, who survives at the home. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Schuyler graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1990. He worked in plumbing supplies and sales for almost 15 years. Schuyler was a talented musician who mastered every instrument he touched. He participated in the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as performing in several area bands. He traveled throughout central Missouri performing with his band "The Cisco Fix" with whom he composed and performed some of his best work. He loved camping, trout fishing, watching Sunday afternoon football, cooking and just about anything that involved spending time with his wife, family and friends. Schuyler was a patient, generous and compassionate man who will be forever remembered. Along with his wife Kathy, he is survived by a step-daughter: Candice (Dave) Sanders of Arizona; father: Bill (Loretta) Stegmann of Eldon; three brothers: John "Butch" (Ronda) Stegmann of Taos, Matthew (Susan) Stegmann of Higginsville and Benjamin (Aniko) Stegmann of Wiesbaden, Germany; Kathy's parents, her siblings, his aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be sadly missed by his pug dog "Champ". He was preceded in death by his mother: Christina Stegmann Langford. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Rev. Erma Stogsdill officiating.
