Jeffrey P. Meyer

Jeffrey P. Meyer, 52, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the family farm near Bunceton, Missouri. He was born November 6, 1960, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of Paul and Norma Jean (Geuetal) Meyer. Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Jeff was an electrician with Meyer Electric. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed fishing, arrow hunting, swimming, float trips, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and inventing things. He loved to cook for his family and friends, especially his son, Dustin, and his nieces and nephews. Jeff treasured his companionship with his trusted pal, his Neapolitan Mastiff, Cash. Survivors include his son: Dustin Meyer (Lindsay Burton) of Jefferson City; father: Paul Meyer of Jefferson City; one brother: Steve Meyer (wife Cheryl) of Russellville; one sister: Lisa Brinkley of Overland Park, Kan.; loving mother of Dustin: Melinda Meyer; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Norma Jean Meyer, on August 16, 2011. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery.
