Ruth L. Kneemiller

Ruth L. Kneemiller, age 90, of Jefferson City, formerly of St. Charles, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City. Ruth was born January 30, 1923 in Joliet, Ill., the daughter of Ernest and Camille (Lord) Long. She was married to Elroy George Kneemiller on September 30,1978 in St. Charles. Ruth and Elroy both retired from Boeing, formerly McDonald Douglas. They enjoyed their retirement time attending auctions and going on guided tours. She is survived by two sons, William Gates (Melinda) of Sterling, Alaska, formerly of Jefferson City, and Joseph Fronek of California; one sister, Evelyn Pipitone of Walnut Creek, Calif.; one brother-in-law, William Haverstick of Maryland Heights; and three grandchildren, Christopher Gates (Melanie) of Jefferson City, Ashley Pederson (Dave) of Jefferson City, and Eva Fronek of St. Louis; and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one sister, Edna Haverstick; and one brother-in-law, Babe Pipitone. Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John's Cemetery, S. 6th St. and Boone's Lick Road, St. Charles.
