Bernard Herman Kaiser, 86, of Vienna, 86, departed this life on Thursday, June 27, 2013, in St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City. He was born April 2, 1927, in rural Vienna, a son of Kaspar Joseph and Rose Mary "Rosie" (Sandbothe) Kaiser. Mr. Kaiser was a member of the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna. He was a life-long farmer on the Centennial family farm in Maries County, and enjoyed music especially his guitar. He and his brother, Henry, will be remembered by many for playing at their weddings. Those left to mourn the passing of Mr. Kaiser include: Two sisters, Margaret Eads, Jefferson City; and Frances Kaiser, Vienna; two nieces, Shirley Gerling and husband, Jim, and Sue Bielecki and husband, Ron, all of Jefferson City; two great-nephews, Matt Bielecki and Kenny Gerling; two great-nieces, Elizabeth Moon and husband, Evan; and Lauren Bielecki; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father on June 14, 1984; his mother on August 24, 1986; and one brother, Henry Charles Kaiser on April 26, 2000. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mr. Kaiser at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, July 1, 2013, in the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna, with the Rev. Msgr. Marion J. Makarewicz, celebrating. Interment will be in the Visitation Cemetery, Vienna, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m., on Sunday, June 30, 2013, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. and 9 - 10 a.m., on Monday, July 1, 2013, all in the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Masses or memorial contributions may be made to the Visitation Catholic Church, Vienna, with envelopes available at the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes or at the church.
