Cynthia Lee Witt, age 52, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at Jefferson City Manor. She was born November 4, 1960, in Springfield, Missouri. Cynthia was employed with the Northern Oklahoma Resource Center for the State of Oklahoma where she retired. Having lost her son Adam to a Christmas day fire and her son Eric to an automobile accident, Cynthia was very involved in the Compassionate Friends, which helps other parents who have lost children. She was an elephant collector, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons: Chad Witt (Amy) of Jefferson City, and Joseph White (Leslie) of Enid Oklahoma; one brother: Jack Baker of Branson; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including her special niece Jennifer Markway. She was preceded in death by two sons: Eric Witt and Adam Wind; her father and step-mother: Don Lee and Sandra Witt; her mother: Mary Anna (Vehorn) Witt; one brother: Mac Baker; one sister and brother-in-law: General James and Pat Pruitt. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a funeral service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held in the Enid Cemetery Enid, Oklahoma, Memorial donations are suggested to the Central Missouri Humane Society.
