Beverly J. Mohrman

Beverly J. Mohrman, 76, of Montgomery City, Mo., died on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo., surrounded by her loving family. Beverly Jean Mohrman was born September 5, 1936. in St. Louis, Mo. to Chester Haefner and Esther Emma LeBlanc Haefner. Beverly graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, Mo. She married Donald Edward Mohrman in Jennings, Mo., on October 19, 1957. Don and Bev moved to Montgomery City from Topeka, Kan., in February, 1973, where they owned and operated a Phillips 66 Station. In later years she worked with Don selling Real Estate and operated a thrift shop called "This & That" and also sold Avon. Beverly also worked many years at the Work Shop for the Handicapped in Mexico, Mo. Mr. Mohrman preceded her in death on December 27, 2003. Beverly was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church; was one of the original members of the ARC group in Montgomery County and was instrumental in getting SB40 on the ballot. She enjoyed collecting stamps, traveling, watching NASCAR, working with all types of crafts, and gardening. Her greatest joy and love was being with and visiting all her family, especially her grandchildren, and her many friends. Mrs. Mohrman is survived by her six children: Neil Mohrman and wife, Kathy, of Jefferson City, Mo.; Donna Copeland of Troy, Mo.; Michelle Smith and husband, Greg, of Wentzville, Mo.; Judi Mohrman of Montgomery City, Mo. "my town"; Michael Mohrman and wife, Brandy, of Raymore, Mo.; and Anthony David Mohrman and wife, Heather, of Destin, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Leonard Haefner and wife, Linda, of Chesterfield, Mo.; niece, Tracy Haefner of Chesterfield, Mo.; and many friends. Mrs. Mohrman was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Esther Emma LeBlanc Haefner; and her husband, Donald Edward Mohrman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Mo. The Reverend Russell Judge will officiate and interment will be in the High Point Cemetery, west of Montgomery City, Mo. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Mo., with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Casketbearers include Karl Roettger, Chris Roettger, Tom Sanning, Thomas Smith; Brad Hogenmiller, and Thomas Bethel. Honorary casketbearers include Curtis Smith and Scout Mohrman.
