Anthony L. White, 37, of Jefferson City, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Capital Region Medical Center. Anthony was born to the union of Vanessa D. White and James Jiles. He was raised by Anthony Henderson who treated him as his biological son. Anthony was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended St. Louis Public Schools. He moved to Jefferson City in 1994 where he worked a couple of different janitorial jobs before he became disabled. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Anthony was very outgoing, independent and giving. He loved walking which got him named the "OX" because they said his legs were as strong as one. Everyone that knew Anthony was very blessed to have him in their lives. This is a homecoming for Anthony, a man who has walked the path now to be home with our creator. He leaves to cherish his memory, a sister: Martina V. Henderson of Jefferson City; sons: Allijah White of St. Louis and Malachi Jafuli of Jefferson City; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who have all had a change to benefit from his giving, love and care. Preceding him in death were his mother, Vanessa White and James Jiles, and a special man that was in his life, Anthony Henderson. Anthony treated Allijah, older brother, Martez F. Wilson, as if they were his own. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with funeral services following at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerome Nelson officiating.
