Mr. Thomas C. Hake Sr., age 70 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph, Mo. Tom was born January 2, 1943, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Lawrence H. and Clementia H. Eiken Hake. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Tom attended Helias High School. He was employed as a welder and a painter, most recently, with A.B.B. Tom enjoyed antiquing, listening to music, going to garage sales, fishing, working on his car, car shows, drawing and painting. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: one son, Thomas C. Hake Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Holts Summit, Mo.; three daughters, Cynthia A. Moore and her husband Scott of St. Joseph, Mo., Stephanie L. Werner of Salina, Kan., and Lisa Hake of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Bill Hake and his wife Carol of Taos, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Brian Hake on July 26, 1976 and Pammy Hake on August 3, 1971; one brother, Earl Hake on March 20, 2009; and one sister, Ruby Sullens on July 24, 2012. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, in the Freeman Chapel. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Thomas Hake Memorial Fund.
