Jack Monroe Heather, 75, of Clarksburg, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 29, 1937, the son of Gilbert Heather and Elsie Winebrenner Yarnell. On June 16, 1957, he was married to Lois Jean Smith, who survives of the home. He was a lifetime resident of Clarksburg. He attended Clarksburg School and served in the Air Force as a Jet Mechanic from 1954-1958. Jack was a plumber by trade for many years, establishing his own company in 1978. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in California. Along with his wife, Jack is survived by three children, Mitchell (Char) Heather, Clarksburg, Jackie Heather, and Dwayne (Jessica) Heather, all of California; five grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer and Jessica Heather, Nicole and Chloe Heather; three step-grandchildren, Isiaha, Ethan and Vanessa; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gail (Joyce) Heather, California; and one sister-in-law, Lucille Barbour, Clarksburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Kenneth Heather, Paul Yarnell, Mack Yarnell and Ed Yarnell. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service in California. Funeral services will be held in the Windmill Ridge Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Lovins officiating.
