Sueda Harriet Lopez

Sueda Harriet Lopez, age 69, went to be with her Heavenly Father and her departed husband on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Villa Marie Nursing Home, Jefferson City, Mo., from a chronic illness. Sueda was born March 4, 1944, in Michigan where she lived until 1986, when she moved to Missouri. She was married January 1968, to John Lopez who preceded her in death. She had one daughter, Angela and her husband Randy Stohs, whom she always stated there was never a better son-in-law. Sueda persevered and successfully raised her daughter alone, teaching her exceptional work ethics and a love for nature. Civil War Reenactment was such a joy for her, not only 'living' history, but she was able to camp. Sueda didn't let anything stop her from camping, until her illness got her down. She loved nature, watching animals, investigating plants and insects. She saw the beauty of a spider (on the outside) and how it was created to the beauty of the fall Michigan colors to the sunrise on the lake, noting how God had created it all. Her other joys were working brain teaser puzzles, quilting and sewing. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; grandchildren, Lydia and Adam Mietzner, Jefferson City, Mo., Cortney and Mindy Stohs, Joplin, Mo., Serena Brown, New Mexico, and her great-grandchildren, Mariah and Micah Mietzner and Abby Stits. She enjoyed them very much and would gladly brag about them to whomever would listen. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Show Me Christian Youth Home, LaMonte, Mo. A small memorial service will held at Villa Marie Nursing Home, Friday, June 14, at 3:15. Her body was donated to science.
