Nancylea Hunt

Miss Nancylea Hunt, age 92 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, June 3, 2013, at St. Joseph's Bluffs. Nancylea was born April 14, 1921, in Pisgah, Mo., the daughter of the late William and Lucy Logan Hunt. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Nancylea was a 1938 graduate of Prairie Home High School and a 1940 graduate of Sedalia Business College. She was employed with the Missouri Board of Fund Commissioners for 63 years retiring in 2003. At her retirement in 2003, she was honored as one of the longest serving state employees in Missouri history. Nancylea was a member and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and also to 49 foreign countries. She loved reading and knitting. Survivors include: three cousins, Wallace Hunt of Harlingen, Texas, Kenneth Hunt of St. Louis, Mo., and Bennie J. Leonberger of Boonville, Mo. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Doyle Sager officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Pisgah, Mo.
