Paul Edward Frevert

Paul Edward Frevert, 86, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Boone Hospital Center. He was born September 12, 1926, in Fayette, the son of the late Otto C. Frevert and the late Iona F. (Heying) Frevert. Paul was united in marriage to Annie (Grossman) Frevert, who survives his passing at the home. Paul was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. He was also involved with the church's Couples/Mellon Class. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. After his service, Paul worked for MoDOT and was the Maintenance Area Supervisor of Callaway County. Paul enjoyed traveling with Annie and taking out his RV, and following the Cardinals and the Tigers. He was considered to be the family handyman. Paul was a proud grandpa and great grandpa and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 66 years, Paul will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Larry Frevert and wife, Carol, of Kansas City; two daughters, Paula Nickelson and husband, Rick, of Fulton, and Pamela Hendrix and husband, Robert, of Fulton; 10 grandchildren, Michael Frevert (Shelly) of Springfield, Kevin Frevert (Kate) of Lee's Summit, Keith Frevert (Ashley) of Washington D.C., Kelli Smith (Jason) of Raytown, Clinton Nickelson (Kelly) of Columbia, Kristina Bernskoetter (Brian) of Jefferson City, Jacob Nickelson of Fulton, Bobby Hendrix (Lacey) of Atlanta, Ga., Summer Hendrix of Columbia, Autumn Hendrix of Fulton; 14 great-grandchildren, Adeline, Alden, Avery, Cameron, Eleza, Isadora, Julia, Kaylee, Nolan, Norah, Peyton, Trenton, Zack, and Zeke; two brothers, Otto Frevert Jr. of Fayette, and Leon Frevert of Fayette; and two sisters, Iona Campbell of Boonville, and Dorothy Childers of Independence. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Frevert. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013, at First Christian Church in Fulton with Reverend Ed Varnum officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Entombment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
