Calvin Stock

Calvin Stock, 87, of Tebbetts, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013. He was born October 18, 1925, in Tebbetts, the son of the late Fred W. Stock and the late Leona L. (Seifert) Stock. On May 11, 1946, Calvin was united in marriage to Lena Mae (Autenrieth) Stock, who survives his passing at the home. Calvin graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1944. Calvin was a farmer and owned and operated Calvin Stock Fertilizer. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge 596, served on the Callaway Electric Board, Central Electric Board, Soil & Water Board, and ASCS Board. Calvin and his family were named the Farm Family of Callaway County with state honors in 1987. He also served on the Steedman Bank Board and was president of the Tebbetts School Board. Calvin joined the Tebbetts United Methodist Church in 1938 and served on various church boards. He enjoyed boating at the Lake of the Ozarks, and hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Calvin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five children, Calene Cooper and husband, Steve, of Columbia, Joy Mealy of Tebbetts, Edward Stock of Tebbetts, Gary Stock and wife, Kathleen, of Holts Summit, and Jon Stock and wife, Kim, of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren, Aaron Davis and wife, Sofia, of California, Mitzi Napier and husband, Steve, of Holts Summit, Marc Mealy and wife, Monnie, of Linn, Patricia Stock-Murphy of California, Calvin Stock and wife, Lisa, of Jefferson City, Jorden Stock of Jefferson City, Mallory Stock-Dow and husband, Tim of Ohio, Melissa Stock of Ohio, Sarah Stock and Sydney Stock of St. Louis; and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Sophia Stock, who established the Stock Farm 100 years ago this year; one brother, Marvin L. Stock; foster brother, James W. Mohr, and infant son Billie Wayne Stock. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 3, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Pati Tynes and Chaplain Jim Mueller officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Maupin Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Tebbetts.
