Chad Steward Rogers

Chad Steward Rogers, 30, of Liberty, Mo., left his earthly home Monday, July 22, 2013, in Liberty, Mo. Chad was born October 10, 1982, in Englewood, Colo. He grew up in Liberty, Mo., graduating from Liberty High School in 2001. He later moved to Jefferson City, Mo., where he served as Youth Director for the First United Methodist Church and also a youth baseball coach. Recently moving back to Liberty, Chad attended Shoal Creek Community Church and was very active with youth activities. On March 21, 2009, he married Sarah Immele in Pleasant Valley, Mo. Chad was an excellent husband, father, and friend and currently was a stay at home dad for his 13 month old son. He was an avid runner, completing twelve marathons, and numerous other distance runs and was a member of the Liberty Running Club. He also was an avid sports fan, especially following the Denver Broncos, Sporting Kansas City, Minnesota Twins, and Kansas City Royals. Survivors include his wife Sarah and their son Matthew Job of the home; his parents Greg and DeeDee Rogers of Liberty; brother, Ryan and wife Carrie Rogers of Maryland Heights, Mo.; sister, Malia Rogers of Liberty; two grandmothers, Vanita Rogers of Denver, Colo. and Mary Gifford of Chico, Calif.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chris and JoAnn Immele of Grandview, Mo.; sister-in-law, Katie and husband Jon Sobbe of Kansas City, Mo., and numerous other extended family members. Preceding him in death are two grandfathers, James Rogers and Dannie Gifford. Chad has been cremated under direction of Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, St. Joseph, Mo. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2013, at Shoal Creek Community Church, 6816 S. Church Rd, Pleasant Valley, Mo. Roy Moran will be officiating.
