Judy L. James

Mrs. Judy L. James, age 51 years, of Henley, Mo., passed away peacefully Monday, July 8, 2013, at home surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born September 16, 1961, in St. Louis County, Mo., the daughter of Joseph and Marie Geers Hebenstreit. She was married on April 7, 1984, in Overland, Mo., to Randy James. A resident of the central Missouri area since 1981, Judy was a 1979 graduate of St. Anthony High School in St. Louis, Mo. She was employed with Busch's Florists for several years until ill health forced her retirement. In her free time, Judy enjoyed working in her yard and reading her Bible. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include: her husband of 29 years, Randy James; two sons, Randy James and his wife Cherri of Henley, Mo. and Jesse James and his wife Rebecca of Wentzville, Mo.; two daughters, Carrie James of Jefferson City, Mo. and Sherry Childers and her husband Scott of Henley, Mo.; and seven grandchildren, Aleasha James, Alyssa James, Jordan James, Aiden James, Ashtin James, Tyler Childers, and Alijah James. She is also survived by her two brothers, Joey Hebenstreit and his wife Brenda of St. Louis, Mo. and Kurt Hebenstreit and his wife Erin of St. Louis, Mo.; and six sisters, Jill Vaughn and her husband Jim of St. Louis, Mo., Margo Mohesky and her husband Doug of St. Louis, Mo., Gail Mirbaha and her husband Bob of St. Louis, Mo., Eileen Fitzgerald and her husband Pat of Arnold, Mo., Michelle Jewell Schnittker and her husband Will of St. Louis, Mo., and Peggy Driscoll of St. Louis, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013, and at Immanuel Baptist Church from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Reverend Shane Crum officiating.
