Anna Marie "Annie Lou" Steinman, 80, of New London, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. Mrs. Steinman was born July 14, 1932, in Osage Bend, to Ted and Kate Wilbers Rackers. She was married to Clarence Steinman on September 24, 1949 in Osage Bend. She was the wife of a husband who loved her dearly, the marriage of 63 years was the most endearing love for each other that can be. Mr. Steinman survives. The Steinman's were the owners and operators of Injun Joe Campground and Huck's Homestead Restaurant. People would come from all over to eat and enjoy themselves at the restaurant and campgrounds. They also ran and worked the Mark Twain Outdoor Theater for over 10 years. It was a beautiful place. Mrs. Steinman always loved to work and she was one of the hardest working women around. She made sure everything was done and fixed and if not you better look out. As years went by she and her husband went south for the winter with close friends. She enjoyed traveling and camping out in their motor home. Annie loved traveling and camping out with her kids and enjoyed the family fixing food together and having fun. Life was good to her and her family always stuck together if anyone ever needed any help they were all there for each other. Family was very important to Mrs. Steinman and she loved to be with them all. Mrs. Steinman was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She attended church every Sunday, no matter what and she made sure that all the kids went too. If they weren't there, they would hear about it. Other survivors include seven children: Dwain Steinman (Roseann) and their children and grandchildren, Kyle Steinman (Suzie), Brennen, Madi, Kori Locke (Jeff), Ellie, Katie, Jarid, Zach, Kris Steinman(Laura), Collin, expected baby; Lee Steinman (Cindy) and their children and grandchildren, Shawn Steinman, Matt Steinman (Amy), Kadence, Erica, Arianna, Keitha Troy (Derek), Madison, Andrew, Nathan Steinman (Suzie), Payton, Bailey, Shawna and Seth; Gail Terrill (Tony) and their children and grandchildren, Shane Terrill (Rhiannon), Tristen, Parker, Wyatt, expected baby, Shad Terrill (Stephanie), Brice, Blayde, Zanie, Shelby Terrill (Kassondra), Jaxon, Dylan, Shana Terrill(Brian Usery); Jeff Steinman and his children and grandchildren, Andie Hooley (Brian), Brady, Brenana, Brock, Justin Steinman (Jacqulin Sears), Kallahan, Kannon, Josh; Kevin Steinman (Lisa) and their children and grandchildren; Jennifer Davis, Nathan Davis, Luke, expected baby, Devin; Renee Anderson (Randy) and their children and grandchildren, Brandon Anderson (Skylar Neisen), Saige, Logan Anderson, Austin, Ethan; Keith Steinman (Ty) and their children and grandchildren, Lindsey Steinman, Ava, Sarah Steinman, Alyssa, Steven, Adrian; one sister, Esther Winge of Jefferson City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeff Steinman and Dwain Steinman; two grandsons, Shawn Steinman and Josh Steinman, three sisters, Carolyn Huhman, Viola Van Loo and Adele Kampeter; and two brothers, Jerome Rackers and Elmer Rackers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal. Father Nicholas Reid will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Pallbearers will be Kyle Steinman, Shane Terrill, Matt Steinman, Justin Steinman, Brandon Anderson and Devin Steinman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kris Steinman, Nathan Steinman, Seth Steinman, Shad Terrill, Shelby Terrill, Logan Anderson, Austin Anderson, Ethan Anderson and Steven Phillips.
