Stephen R. Schlueter, 67, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at his home. He was born on November 28, 1945, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Wendel Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Finney) Schlueter. He attended Helias High School and graduated from Lincoln University. Steve worked for the City of Jefferson as the City Finance Director. Steve was united in marriage to his wife, Mary Louise Spencer on June 25, 1979. In addition, Steve and Mary owned and operated the Amber House Bed and Breakfast in Rocheport, until retiring December 1 to Arizona. Survivors include: his wife, Mary; one daughter, Sheri Lynn Blumberg and her husband Eric of Columbia, Missouri; one granddaughter, Trina N. Blumberg; his mother, Mary Schlueter of Jefferson City; one brother, Tim Schlueter and wife Becky of Jefferson City, and their two sons, Matt and wife Candace of St. Peters, Missouri and Scott Schlueter and fiancÈe Alesha Heckman. He was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be held at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at 12 noon at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City, Missouri with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
