Mrs. Bernice Madeline Logan, 94, of Jefferson City, went to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Russell, on Friday, January 11, 2013. She was born on November 28, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of the late Jesse L. Smith and Helen B. Folz. She was united in marriage on July 7, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., to A. Russell Logan who preceded her in death on September 1, 1999. She lived most of her life in Kansas City, Mo. She was one of the founding members of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She became a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph when she moved to Jefferson City in 2006. She spent her life being a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include: one son, Ronald Logan, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Deborah Logan, Houston, Texas; Donna and her husband James Weiss, Jefferson City; and three grandchildren, Kathy Weiss, Laura Weiss, and Mark Weiss. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Dylan Schrader officiating. Private graveside services and interment will be conducted at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center, 1310 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
