Leah Marie Schauf

Leah Marie Schauf, 20, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Leah was born December 17, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Lee E. and Diana S. (Block) Schauf. She graduated high school from School of the Osage in Lake of the Ozarks. She went on to attend State Fair Community College, and was currently attending Metro Business College, where she was studying to become a Medical Specialist. In high school, Leah was very active in the School of the Osage Band, where she participated in the Marching Band, the Guard, and the Concert Choral. Leah enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two year old niece, Alyce. Leah is survived by her mother: Diana S. Schauf of Jefferson City; her father: Lee E. Schauf of Lake of the Ozarks; one sister: Courtney Pigford (husband Kevin) of Jefferson City; one niece: Alyce Pigford; and her maternal grandmother: Mae Dean Block of Chicago, Illinois. Leah was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Norbert Block; and her paternal grandparents: Leo and Patsy Schauf. Friends will be received from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Dr. Arnold G. Parks officiating. Interment will be held at Owensville City Cemetery.
