E. Jean Rush, 80, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia. She was born September 18, 1932, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Lloyd P. and Eunice (Robinette) Loveall. On June 18, 1955, she was united in marriage to Warren Rush, who preceded her in death on November 1, 1994. Jean graduated from Jefferson City High School and was Secretary to the Director of Professional Registration from 1976 to 1996. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved sports, camping, fishing, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She was happiest when she was doing something for others. She had a positive outlook on life. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church for 61 years, and the M.E.W. Sorority. She is survived by three sons: Keith (Michelle) Rush of Jefferson City, Jay Rush of California, Jeb (Lisa) Rush of Jefferson City; one daughter-in-law: Mary Rush of California; eight grandchildren: Daniel, Derek, Cody, Megan, Adam, Emily, Taylor, Cassie; four great-grandchildren: Lexi, Parker, Jaydyn, Cali; one brother: Samuel Craig (LuAnn) Loveall of Centertown; two brothers-in-law: Bob Gerbes and Leroy Kliethermes; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by one son: Guy Rush; two sisters: Doris LaVerne Gerbes and Gayle Kliethermes; and one brother: Donnie Loveall. Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Doyle Sager officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Center.
