Stephen Laws Guhleman

Mr. Stephen Laws Guhleman (Max Ninjutsu Shadowstar), age 54 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his home from natural causes. Stephen was born February 2, 1959, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Henry V. Guhleman Jr. He graduated from Jefferson City High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. During his early career, Stephen was employed by Time Warner in Phoenix, Arizona. For the last 20 years he resided in Jefferson City. Stephen was an avid student and instructor of the martial arts and eastern meditation. He loved the mountains in Colorado, the Atlantic Ocean waves off the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the rivers of Missouri, and the pizza from Arris. Survivors include: his mother, Florence Guhleman of Jefferson City; a sister, Pat Guhleman and her husband Joel Wall of Madison, Wisconsin; a nephew, Nathan Wall; a niece, Sara Wall; and his American Field Service sister, Gunilla (Dicke) Kˆrnell of Sweden. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Henry V. Guhleman. Private family services will be conducted at a later time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Samaritan Center.
