Troy M. Prenger

Troy M. Prenger, 47, of Taos, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Riverview Nursing Center, Mokane, Missouri. He was born September 21, 1965, the son of William 'Bill" and Carolyn (Schneider) Prenger, both survive in Jefferson City. Troy attended St. Peter Grade School and was a 1984 graduate of Helias High School. He was employed with Otke Construction, JCI, Prenger Builders and most recently with Lincoln University. Troy was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed deer and mushroom hunting and was an arrowhead collector. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Along with his parents, Bill and Carolyn Prenger, he is survived by one son: Dustin Michael Prenger (fiancÈ Ashley Watts) of Jefferson City; one daughter: Ashley Atkins (husband David) of Loose Creek; girlfriend: Kristy Lootens-Rackers of Taos; two brothers: Thomas J. Prenger (wife Carol) of Tebbetts and Timothy J. Prenger (Tracy) of Wardsville; one sister: Connie Seabaugh (husband Kevin) of Jefferson City; two grandchildren: Gracie Lynne Atkins and Cambria Elizabeth Prenger; six nieces and nephews: Nathan Prenger, Brittney Phillips, Taylor Prenger, Tatum Prenger, Kyle Seabaugh, Tyler Seabaugh, and numerous cousins and friends. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Friday, February 22, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Fr. Greg Meystrik officiating. Interment will be private for the family.
