Marguerite Ann Knoll

Marguerite Ann Knoll, 93, of Freeburg, departed this life Tuesday, February 12, 2013, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City. She was born December 30, 1919, at Freeburg, a daughter of Herman and Elizabeth Frances (Stratman) Stuecken. Mrs. Knoll was united in marriage on April 12, 1947, at Freeburg, to Harold H. Thomas Knoll, and to this union, nine children were born. Mrs. Knoll was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, the Ladies Sodality of the church, and the Paul A. Hasenbeck Memorial American Legion Post No. 317, Freeburg, since 1953. In 1949, she and her husband co-founded the Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, and at the time of her death, she was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Knoll include: two sons and three daughters-in-law, Ronald R. Knoll, Freeburg; Kenneth H. and Mary Knoll, Koeltztown; Paulette Knoll, Freeburg; and Pam Knoll, Westphalia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Helen and James Brondell, Jefferson City; Julia E. and Ron Stone, Avon, Connecticut; and Carlotta J. Kaesik, Lake Ozark; one sister-in-law, Irma Stuecken, Freeburg; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 17, 1994; three sons, Harold Francis Knoll on December 13, 2001, Thomas Milton Knoll on January 5, 2004, and Michael Harold Knoll on December 12, 2012; one daughter, Maria Marguerite Hartenbeuger on January 6, 1970; one son-in-law, John Kaesik Jr. on July 14, 1993 ; her father on July 22, 1956; her mother on May 9, 1969; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Joseph Stuecken, Carl Ambrose Stuecken (Evelyn) on December 23, 1987, Arnold Francis Stuecken (Hilda) on November 30, 1989, and Herman Bernard "Babe" Stuecken on May 4, 2005; and one sister and brother-in-law, Henrietta Cassady (Harold) on July 22, 1959. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Knoll at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with the Rev. Phil Niekamp officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013, with an American Legion Auxiliary Memorial Service at 6:45 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., and visitation 10 - 11 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, all in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Holy Family School with envelopes available at the Holy Family Catholic Church or the Vienna Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
