Craig A. Dunnavant

Mr. Craig A. Dunnavant, age 37 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, January 31, 2013, at his home. Craig was born February 4, 1975, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of George H. "Corkey" and Jannette Franklin Dunnavant. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Craig was a 1992 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Craig was employed in Sales and Service with Rehab Specialty Medical, Inc. for the past seven years. Previously, he had been employed with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and restoring his jeep, but, most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the B.P.O. of Elks and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Aerie 2693. Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Jan and John Crow of Jefferson City, Mo.; two children, Kagan Andrew Dunnavant and Riley Elizabeth Dunnavant; his fiancÈe, Christy Muehlhausen and her children, Aubrey, Dylan, and Carson Muehlhausen of Linn, Mo.; one step-brother, Dustin Crow of Jefferson City, Mo.; one step-sister, Ashton Crow of Holts Summit, Mo.; maternal grandfather, Duane Franklin of Jefferson City, Mo., and one step-grandmother, Glenda Crow of Jefferson City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Cheston Thomas Dunnavant; one grandfather, Henry A. Dunnavant; two grandmothers, Audrey Schuleter Dunnavant and Freida JoAnn Franklin; and one step-grandfather, Edmond Lee Crow. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013, with a prayer service to be conducted at 3:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at St. Peter Church with the Reverend Greg Meystrik officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution are suggested to the American Heart Assn., the March of Dimes, or the American Cancer Society.
