Terry L. "Fluffy" Edgell, age 42 years, of Holts Summit, Mo., passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. Terry was born July 13, 1971, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of James R. and Sharon Kay Cooley Edgell. He was married on October 19, 1991, in Russellville, Mo. to Tammy E. Adams. A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Terry was a 1989 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He was employed as a mechanic with McKnight Tire Company until ill health forced his retirement. Terry was a member of the Outlaw Car Club in Jefferson City. During his free time, he enjoyed working on his S-10 pickup truck and watching WWE wrestling. Most importantly, he cherished time with his family, especially his granddaughter. Survivors include: his wife of 22 years, Tammy Edgell; one daughter, Rebecca Nicole Meyer and her husband Ryan of Holts Summit, Mo.; one granddaughter, Baleigh Marie Meyer, who he referred to as "his princess"; two brothers, Ralph "Buck" Edgell and his wife Jan of Taos, Mo. and James "Bubba" Edgell of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Roxane Edgell of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013. An additional visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. until 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013, followed by funeral services conducted at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. John Cross officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Assn.
