Drexall Leon Dameron

Drexall Leon Dameron, 77, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, in Jefferson City. He was born December 17, 1935, in Huntsville, Missouri, a son of Foley T. and D. Della (Kirby) Dameron. Drexall was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked for the Jefferson City Street Department for 35 years until his retirement in 1997. Drexall enjoyed fishing, entertaining and spending time with the ladies. Survivors include eight children: Roger Dameron (Connie) of Des Moines, Iowa, Stafford Dameron of Florida, Timothy Dameron (Becky) of Huntsville, Jerry Tolson of Holts Summit, William Kelley of Jefferson City, Brian O'Toole of Jefferson City, Anita Williams of Phoenix, Arizona, and LaTosha Richardson of Jefferson City; one sister, Betty Smith (Forrest) of Moberly; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joetta Dameron; three children: Tony Dameron, Rita Dameron, and Kimberly Dameron; and two brothers, Clifford Dameron and Clarence Dameron. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Second Christian Church, where services and military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held.
