Venita J. Enowski, age 88, of Olean, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Miller County Nursing home in Tuscumbia. She was born October 4, 1923 in Olean on the family farm, the daughter of Eugene Eliga and Maud (Miller) Bond, both of whom preceded her in death. Venita graduated from Olean High School and went on to get her beautician license in Jefferson City. She was united in marriage to Albert Joseph Enowski in Eldon on December 21, 1945, who also preceded in her death. Venita and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm until his death in 1971. Venita then worked as postmaster of Olean from 1974-1990. Venita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon and the Sacred Heart Alter Society, where she was very involved in making quilts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she will be sadly missed. Survivors include two sons: Gene Enowski, Olean and Bob with his wife Lisa of Olean; two daughters: Mary Williamson with her husband Robert of Hallsville, and Joan Jarrett with her husband Terry of Jefferson City; one daughter-in-law: Bee Enowski; seven grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Venita was preceded in death by one son: Jim Enowski; two granddaughters: Dakota and Destiny Enowski; two brothers: Miller Bond and Carl Bond; and two sisters: Mary Fiene and Gladys Shikles. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Russellville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eldon, with Monsignor Lammers officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Garden cemetery near Eugene. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Hospice Compassus, 4681 Osage Beach Parkway #16, Osage Beach, MO 65065, or the Miller County Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund, 1157 Hwy. 17, Tuscumbia, MO 65082.
