Carole Lehmen, age 68, of Rich Fountain, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. Carole was born May 4, 1944, in Kansas City, a daughter to the late Ross and Dulcie (Baird) Calhoun. Carole was a 1962 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan. On June 13, 1980, she was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Lehmen in Linn. He survives of the home. Carole served in the Army National Guard as a full time technician. She also worked on the family dairy farm and as a nurse's aide at a nursing home. Carole was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain, St. Ann's Sodality and the American Legion Post #317 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, traveling where she had visited several foreign countries and every state but Alaska. Carole was also a history buff. In addition to her husband, Jerry, Carole is survived by: one son, Ron Hunt of Rosemount, Minn.; one daughter, Angel Hunt of Eagan, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Jade, Jasmine, and Ashlee Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Pamela Dunbar. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Phil Niekamp as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sacred Heart Nativity Painting Fund.
