Jasper Wayne Brethorst

Jasper Wayne Brethorst, two months old, of California, Mo., passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Cardinal Glennan Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He was born on June 4, 2012, at Women's and Children's Hospital Columbia, Mo., the son of Jonathan William Brethorst and Tabitha Lynn Flatt, both of whom reside in California, Mo. Jasper loved his pacifier, scrunching his face up or just making funny faces, and lifting up his eyebrows. When he cried it sounded like he was laughing. He was a very easy going baby that had big hands and feet, but most important he was very strong willed. Along with his parents he is survived by, one brother, Mason Henry Brethorst, California, Mo.; his maternal grandparents Robert and Tammy Flatt, California, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Rhonda Brethorst and Robert Parker, Clarksburg, Mo.; maternal great-grandparents, Harold and Sharon Bowlin, California, Mo.; and Roy and Peggy Flatt, Raytown, Mo.; paternal great-grandparents, Roland and Joyce Hattock, Lansing, Kan.; two uncles, Westley Flatt and wife Vicky, Jefferson City, Mo.; and Phillip Brethorst, California, Mo.; four aunts, Michelle Brethorst, Smolan, Kan.; Tiffany Taylor, Prescott, Ariz.; Tracy Brethorst, Kansas City, Mo.; and Brittney Ellington, Clarksburg, Mo. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Stephan Brethorst; and maternal great-grandmother, Mildred Flatt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowlin Cantriel Funeral Services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Bowlin Cantriel Funeral Services.
