George Edward O'Hanlon Jr., 91, of Jefferson City, died Monday, September 3, 2012, at Villa Maria Skilled Nursing Facility. He was born on March 22, 1921, in Millwood, Mo., the son of the late George Edward O'Hanlon Sr., and Nora Rebecca Perkins O'Hanlon. He served with the United States Army Air Corps as a tail gunner during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Missouri. He was united in marriage on October 1, 1949, in Farmington, Mo., to Pauline Sara Bergman who survives. George was in agriculture all of his life primarily in feed sales for over 40 years. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 5. Other survivors include: three children, Patricia O'Hanlon, Irving, Texas; Michael (Sharon) O'Hanlon, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; Robert O'Hanlon, Jefferson City; and three grandchildren, Ryan (Erica) O'Hanlon; Meghan O'Hanlon; and Caitlin O'Hanlon. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn O'Hanlon. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 2305 West Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or to the Cathedral of St. Joseph School, 2303 West Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109.
