Beverly Grooms

Beverly (Banks) Grooms, 79, of Marietta, Ga., passed unexpectedly Sunday, October 21, 2012, in Marietta, Ga. She was born March 23, 1933 in Liberty, Missouri. "Bev" loved her family, friends and treasured the many animals that enriched her life and gave her so many hours of pleasure. She lived nearly 50 years in Jefferson City, raising her daughters and working as the dental assistant to Dr. Richard Starks D.D.S. for over 36 years. Always an avid reader, she also enjoyed music, sports, gardening, and walking the scenic views of the Missouri River. She was the daughter of Emmett and Phyllis Banks of Turney, Missouri. Her two brothers, Harry R. Banks and William E. Banks preceded her in death. Her daughters, Anne Young and Lyn deMoss (Marietta, Ga. and St. Louis) will miss her beauty, easy laughter and wisdom that only a Mother can share. A private gathering is to be held in Jefferson City.
