Phillip Eugene Vance, 58, of Holts Summit, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Villa Marie. He was born December 6, 1953, in Rolla, Mo., the son of the late Ivin Eugene and Clara Mae (Harris) Vance. Phillip attended and graduated from Dixon High School. He was united in marriage on August 16, 2002, in Jefferson City, to Deborah Lynn Wieberg, who resided at the home. Phillip worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections, retiring July 1, 2011 as a Captain. Phillip enjoyed landscaping and gardening. He took great pride in a well manicured lawn. He also enjoyed computers and the outdoors. Other survivors include: three children, Phillip Vance Jr., Michael (Jill) Williams, Ashlee (Kyle) Hedrick; one grandchild, Joseph Williams; and two siblings, Pamela (Ralph) Martin, Dixon, and Jesse (Deborah) Vance, Dixon. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Pastor David Vansandt officiating. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
