John W Brunstrom

John W. "Jack" Brunstrom, 76, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at his home. Jack was born June 3, 1936, in Menominee, Michigan, the son of Prescott and Mildred Schwartz Brunstrom. He married Clara Quinn on June 20, 1959, in Jefferson City, and she survives. He retired in 1985, from driving a truck for Cole County Ind. Jack was a graduate of Hickman High School in 1955, a member of the Hartsburg Lions Club. He loved serving the Club in community projects, having received the highest achievement award, the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. After retiring as a truck driver, Jack enjoyed mowing yards for others. He looked forward to going to the Downtown Cafe, having coffee and vanilla Pepsi and of course, getting the news. Jack will be sadly missed by family and friends. Survivors include: his wife, Clara of Ashland; two sons, Keith Brunstrom and Kevin Brunstrom of Hartsburg; one daughter, Julie Cunningham and husband Dan of Ashland; three brothers, Alan Brunstrom, Bruce Brunstrom and Pat Chrouser; two sisters, Valerie Barnes and Pam Brunstrom; three grandchildren, Dawson, Tolden and Kasidy Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at 2 p.m. with visitation being held from 12 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
