Sharon D. Kissinger

Mrs. Sharon D. Kissinger, age 74 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at her home. Sharon was born June 16, 1938, in Belle, Mo., the daughter of Paul R. and Edna Rakes Litton. She was married on August 18, 1957, in Belle, Mo., to Edward M. Kissinger. A resident of the central Missouri area for most of her life, she graduated from Belle High School in Belle, Mo. and attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo. She was employed as a teacher for several years and later with several agencies with the State of Missouri until her retirement in 1995. Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include: her husband of 55 years, Edward Kissinger; one daughter, Beth Brown and her husband Norman of Henley, Mo.; one sister, Virginia Bartle and her husband Harry of Kentucky; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pauline Logan; and one son, Steven Kissinger in 1990. A private family service will be conducted.
