Michael G. Laux

Mr. Michael G. Laux, age 59 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, at his home. Michael was born September 19, 1953, in Elmhurst, Ill., the son of Philip P. and Barbara A. Becker Laux. Michael served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member and deacon at the Reform Baptist Church in Steadman, Mo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He also volunteered every weekend to sing at area nursing homes. Survivors include: his mother, Barbara Laux of Bloomfield, Iowa; two sisters, Judy Minard and her husband Kim of Holts Summit, Mo. and Denise Rummelhart and her husband Dave of Ottumwa, Iowa; two brothers, Richard Laux and his wife Mary of Holts Summit, Mo. and Daniel Laux and his wife Penny of Bloomfield, Iowa; his special friend, Dena Miller of Jefferson City, Mo.; five nephews, Ben Laux and his wife Angel, Shawn Berry and his wife Laura, Philip Berry, Matt Laux and Roy Rummelhart; and four nieces, Shana Berry, Nicole Rummelhart, Katie Laux and Kacie Laux He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Reform Baptist Church, Steadman, Mo., with the Reverend Rick Conley officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the church. Private graveside services with military honors will be held at the Columbarium of Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo.
