George Edward Busch, 88, of Eldon, Mo., passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Mo. On July 31, 1924 he was born in Brazito, Mo., the son of the late Norman G. and Georgia C. (Dawson) Busch. On June 8, 1950 in Henley, he was united in marriage to Ellen Irene (Carrender) Busch, who survives of the home. George enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, playing pitch, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He served in the United States Navy from November 2, 1944, until December of 1946, aboard the U.S. New Jersey. He was member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Hickory Hill, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Ellen Irene (Carrender) Busch of Eldon, Mo.; son and daughter-in-law, Randal Edward and Kim Busch of Eldon, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Brewner of Eldon, Mo.; grandchildren, Lynn and Todd McCoin of Barnett, Mo.; Chris Busch of Eldon, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Busch, Angela Busch and Ares Busch. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elroy Busch; and one sister, Oneta Norfleet. Visitation and funeral service will be on Monday, November 26, 2012, with the visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., and funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo., with Rev. David White officiating. Interment will follow at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
