James Robert Schekorra

James Robert (Rob) Schekorra, age 54, of Hartsburg, died Sunday, November 4, 2012, in Columbia. Rob was born August 5, 1958, in Kirksville, the son of Dr. Frederick Schekorra and the late Sally Schekorra. He was married January 29, 1994, to Claudette Stockman. He was a 1977 graduate of Tuscumbia High School and worked as a surgical technician in Jefferson City and Columbia. Before and after his retirement, Rob was an avid outdoorsman but golf was his favorite past time during the last several years. Rob was always outside, always tan, and always smiling. He is survived by his wife Claudette and his beloved children, Sara, Jack, and Devin, all of the home; his father, Dr. Frederick Schekorra and his companion, Pat Moore, of Laurie; his brothers, John Schekorra of O'Fallon and Dr. Michael Schekorra and his wife Barbara of Versailles; a niece, Shannon Drilinges, St. Louis; and nephews, Chris and Daniel Schekorra of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Schekorra, and his father and mother-in-law, Harold and Dixie Stockman of Jefferson City. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m., Thursday, November 8, at the Eagle Knoll Golf Course in Hartsburg.
