Barbara D. Meador

Mrs. Barbara D. Meador, age 61 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. Barbara was born on August 29, 1951, at Mexico, Mo., a daughter of Clifton and Leopaldine Mayer White. She was married on August 25, 1984, in Mexico, Mo. to Glenn Russell Meador. A homemaker for the majority of her life, Barbara had helped in the kitchen at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehabilitation. Prior to her work at the nursing home, she had been employed with Southwestern Bell in Mexico, Mo. and Capitol Plaza in Jefferson City. Barbara loved spending time with her family and reading. Survivors include: her husband, Glenn Meador; one son, Michael Rudd of Pullman, Washington; one sister, Linda Hill and her husband Jack of Jacksonville, Mo.; two step-sons, Glenn Meador Jr. of Centralia, Mo. and Raymond Meador of Jefferson City, Mo.; two grandsons, Drew Rudd and Andrew Meador; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Angela Rudd; and one brother, Michael White. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel with Chaplain Jim Gearhart officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Longview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans, Oliver Buehrle #17, P.O.
