Tanisa Jenice Lovelace

Ms. Tanisa Jenice Lovelace, age 31 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center. Tanisa was born on August 22, 1981, in St. Louis, Mo. a daughter of Courtney and Elizabeth Allen Lovelace. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 1986, Tanisa attended Jefferson City Public Schools. Tanisa will always be remembered as a great mom, a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was employed as a home health care aid for the past couple of years. Previously, she worked as a manager at McDonald's and also helped with a cleaning service in town. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, swimming, cooking, and socializing with her friends. Survivors include: one son, James Witherspoon III; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Witherspoon; her parents, Courtney and Elizabeth Lovelace of Jefferson City, Mo.; one brother, Courtney Lee Lovelace Jr. and his wife Lori Ann of Jefferson City, Mo.; one sister, Semaja Elizabeth Smith and her husband Francis of Jefferson City, Mo.; her paternal grandmother, Elvira Louise Lovelace Davis of St. Louis, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and James Allen; her paternal grandfather, Oscar Davis; and her nephew, La-Rone Healey Lovelace. A private memorial service will be held at a later time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
