Freddie Leon Osborn, 77, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Golden Living Center. He was born December 29, 1934, in Stover, Missouri, a son of John D. and Pearl V. (Bishop) Osborn. He was a 1952 graduate of Versailles High School. On June 13, 1959, Freddie was united in marriage in Versailles to Thelma Nadine Hagerman, who survives at their home. Freddie served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1953 to 1957. In 1962, he went to work for IBM, working as a Customer Engineer until his retirement in 1996. He was member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. In addition to his wife of nearly 53 years, Freddie is survived by three daughters: Janice Turpin of Eldon, Brenda Boss and husband Bob of Jefferson City, Cheryl Brunk of Stafford, Virginia; two sisters: Mayme Cline of Jefferson City, and Lela Peterson of Windsor, California; and two grandchildren: Kaeci and Garrett. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings: Stanley, J.D., Lavern, Georgie, Barbara Jean and Ona. Friends will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Versailles City Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
