Margaret Gold

Margaret Gold, age 86, of Osage Beach, Mo., passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at the Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Mo. She was born April 25, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Lonnie A.B. and Margaret Dittman Leslie, both of whom preceded her in death. Margaret was united in marriage on May 1, 1948, in Russellville, Mo. to Marvin I. Gold who also preceded her in death in 1996. Margaret and Marvin lived in several places across the country including Jefferson City, Mo., Columbia, Mo., St. Louis, Mo., Los Angeles, Calif., and retired at the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., after Marvin retired from advertising. She worked as a secretary in the Missouri State Capital after Junior College in Jefferson City, worked as a receptionist for family friend, Dr. E.L. Slaughter, D.O. in St. Louis in the 1950's and 1960's. Margaret was also a member and officer of National Osteopathic Guild Assn. and St. Louis branch at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis. Margaret and her husband enjoyed new and old friends, collecting antiques and traveling. She is survived by one son; David L. Gold of Columbia, Mo. along with many friends and relatives, she will be sadly missed. A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville, Mo.
