Charles Ernest Clendenning, 69, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born December 16, 1942, in Pueblo, Colorado, the son of the late Ernest Leroy and Alice Evelyn (Dull) Clendenning. Charles was a graduate of North High School in Denver, Colorado and also served his country in the United States Navy. He is survived by three children: Tanya Harrel (husband Wayne) of Jefferson City, Kelsey Clendenning (fiancÈ Tom) of Jefferson City, and Charly Clendenning of Columbia; two sisters: Mary Bollinger (husband Richard) of Jefferson City and Sherri Kay Helm (husband Michael) of Columbia; and four grandchildren: Katie, Lyndsey, Delaney, and Desarae. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Robert Clendenning and Richard Allen Clendenning. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services and full Military Honors will follow with the Rev. John Cross officiating.
