Mr. Wilbur Harry LaBore, age 84 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Friday, May 4, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center. Harry was born on March 20, 1928, in Rockford, Ill.,the son of Wilbur D. and Harriet M. Daily LaBore. He was married on April 6, 1962, in Holts Summit, Mo., to Marsie "Evelyn" Robinett. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. A resident of the Jefferson City for the past 50 years, Harry was employed with Asplundh Tree Service and later as a truck driver delivering parts for Columbia Auto Parts Store. Harry enjoyed watching birds, especially hummingbirds, and decorating his yard with family during holidays. Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Evelyn LaBore; two daughters, Brenda Bray and her husband Butch of Eugene, Mo. and Linda McNally of Nixa, Mo.; one son, Jerry LaBore of Hallsville, Mo.; one brother, William LaBore and his wife Yvonne of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren, Natalie, Christopher, Brandon, Kimie, Ashley, and Ellis; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Willie. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Larry LaBore; a brother, Everett LaBore; and one sister, Delores Teal. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, in the Freeman Chapel with Pastor Kenneth McCune officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at Robinett Cemetery in Brumley, Mo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
