Helen Nahler

Helen Nahler, 90, of Hartsburg, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at the Ashland Healthcare. Helen was born May 26, 1921, in Ashland, the daughter of Ed and Clara Burnett Forbis. She married Clifford Nahler February 12, 1946, and he preceded her in death December of 2007. Helen was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of Hartsburg Baptist Church, Hartsburg Baptist Ladies Aid, Hartsburg American Legion Auxiliary, and a 50 year member of the Ashland Order of Eastern Star #309. Survivors include: her two sons, Clifton (Linda) Nahler of Hartsburg, Kevin (Carey) Nahler of Ahland; two grandsons, Landon (Candice) Nahler of Hartsburg and Aaron Nahler of Ashland; Helen was expecting twin great-grandchildren this June. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Neva Pace; twin brother and sister, Frank Forbis and Lucille Forbis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will follow in new Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ashland Order of Eastern Star #309 C/O Brenda Austin, 3971 E.
